Welcome Back Rebels
First Day Of School
August 20th
Principal’s Message
Parents/Guardians and Students,
I look forward to another year whereby one of the best schools in the state of Texas will exemplify their talents in the classroom. The success of our students has created a tradition where competing alone is not our goal. We aim to be the best at everything we do! Travis Early College High School’s vision is to offer a supportive and structured learning environment where each child is accepted, respected and inspired. This vision is not as evident is as former Rebels have garnered academic honors in and out of the district as well as increased the number of college applications and scholarship money. Our support as a school community will help determine how many more of these goals they meet. My expectation is that we as a team overcome every obstacle together.
As we enter this new school year, I want to remind our community that Travis Early College High School’s mission is to prepare all students for college, career, and life focusing on the six pillars: Professional Learning Communities, Social and Emotional Learning, Literacy, Observations, Travis Instructional Learning Team, and Standard Based Grading. By exposing students to a rigorous curriculum and providing meaningful experiences, students will be prepared for life after high school. The creativity and independence they learn at Travis Early College High School will make them lifelong learners, whose interest in their community surpasses their own self-concern. We provide students with a personalized high school experience, that incorporates interventions and enrichment opportunities that serve as a safety net. With an academic focus that includes Advanced Placement courses, dual credit, and career and technology education, our students will graduate ready for college, career, and life.
And remember, no matter what the ups and downs of the year may present, we know our Rebels will have given their best…. Once a Rebel, Always a Rebel!
Your Proud Principal,
Ty. J Davidson
