Hello Parents, Students and Community Members of Travis Early College High School, After two weeks of school, we have accomplished a great deal. We have distributed personal laptops to over 95% of our students. The students are using an on-line platform called BLEND to perform academic tasks and we have enrolled over 80% of our students into a Career and Technology course, Fine Art, Athletics, Advanced Academic or Early College High School course. In addition, we have completed our first set of circles around our Social Emotional Learning with an emphasis on communication, connectivity, collaboration, creativity, cultural proficiency and critical thinking. Once again, we have had an amazing start. As a reminder, we will begin Breakfast in the Classroom this Tuesday, September 5. Students will be able to go to their first block class at 8:45 and receive their breakfast. Once in the classroom, students will eat and have to take a bathroom break before 1st block starts. Breakfast will not be available in the cafeteria. All food will be pre-packaged and will contain the same offerings as those in the cafeteria. We will work with all parents and students who have food allergies. We will have our first Campus Advisory Council (CAC), September 12, at 5 pm in the library. Our CAC is a decision making group made up of parents, staff, students and community members. As we make decisions for the year, for the future and the bond, we invite all interested in helping shape Travis Early College High School to attend. Thank you for a great start and please feel free to call or come on by to campus with any questions. Thank you, Ty J. Davidson After School Pick Up Due to heavy traffic and safety concerns in the front of the school, the designated pick up area for students has changed.
